Candice Lords, SUU's leading scorer, is out for two to three weeks due to ligament damage in the right ankle suffered against Cal State Northridge Saturday night. In the Huntsman Center in Salt Lake the Lady ' Birds missed the scoring hand of Lords Tuesday night as they dropped a 79-50 loss to the University of Utah. The 4-14 Lady Thunderbirds will look to bounce back tonight as they battle Sacramento State in Sacramento, Calif. The Lady Utes took advantage of SUU's 27 percent shooting from the field to take a 37-21 halftime lead. The Lady Thunderbirds didn't shoot much better in the second half, so the Lady U tes waltzed away with the 29-point victory. Apryl Brainard scored a team-high of 14 points to lead Southern Utah, with Heather Sonne and Angie Tanner Alvey with 12 points and 11 points, respectively.
