Marilynn Brown came to SUU 12 years ago after her husband retired from the Navy and decided he wanted to live in his hometown. She said she will miss her students after leaving SUU. "I've supervised student teachers and helped them get jobs," Brown said. "I'll miss preparing them." Brown, who is an associate professor of family and consumer sciences, took a sabbatical leave in 1997-98 to teach at South China University of Technology, and called it a "pretty interesting experience." She said she would like to do more traveling after she retires and, perhaps, go on an LDS mission with her husband.
