Mr. Tamblyn also did a short dance routine. Starring in the gala was the Burch Mann American Folk Ballet. The ballet did numbers in the spirit of the top-sellin- Scottish, the Irish and Pioneer dances of one hundred years ago. Burch Mann, founder and choreographer, recently announced her intention to move the Ballet s artistic headquarters to Cedar the crowd that packed the SUSC auditorium. Warren Burton put the audience in tears with hilarious demonstrations of musical talent and creativity. Burton showed veteran of the Johnny Carson Show, Dinah Shore Show, and "What's My Line?" His talent on such instruments as "musical straws" and the "French nose flute." He is the chairman of the Music Department at Utah State University and a STAB Committee Announced The Student Activities Board for the 1982-8school year has been organized. The purpose of this committee is to plan and execute activities for students 3 at the student center. Great plans are under way for the coming school year. New officers include the following: Stacy Whitmore-President- Linda ; Brent Eames-Secretar- Lewis-Speci- Events; Tammy Robinson-Publi- c Relations; Dan Bowman-Servic- e Programs. 1 One of the show's major attractions was Jimmy Rodgers, singer of the hit singles "Honeycomb," "Kisses Sweeter than alg Wine," and several bums. The inauguration ceremony began at 9:50 am Saturday with an academic procession from the Thorley Recital Hall to the audit-ori- best remembered for City. One Dead; Two Injured By Dave Arciaga Staff Writer National Awards An SUSC student will represent Utah in Mr. Future Business at Teacher Competition July the National Phi Beta Lambda injured Saturday night, May 15, when the car they were driving left the road and rolled end over end down an embankment. Bowen Shaw, Woodstock, Vermont, was found dead Sunday at Red Cliffs Recreation Area. Injured in the crash was Jim Gilliam, Indiana, and Ken Kloza, Illinois, driver of the car. The accident apparently occurred Saturday evening after the three spent the day at the recreation area. The three were reported missing Saturday night. Shaw, 19, was a freshman General Education Major. He was a member of Phi Beta Lambda and was chairman of its fund raising committee. Surviving are mother, stepfather and two sisters; Gretchen Baker, Ted Baker, Beth Shaw and Rebecca his Leadership Conference in Indianapolis, Ind. Cal D. Huber, a senior at SUSC majoring in business education, won first place honors in the annual contest at the State Phi Beta Lambda Convention held recently at Weber State College. Huber, the son of Darrell and Mary Lou Huber, La Point, Uintah County, also won first place in Date Processing I, Bliss finishing third, Reidhead receiving honor- Who's Who in PBL, winning $30 from the PBL Alumni Assoc- able mention. iation. Both Bliss and Reidhead are 1978 graduates of Spanish Fork High. Bliss, son of Ferron and Julia Bliss, is majoring in business administration at SUSC. Reidhead is an accounting major, son of Joe A. and Glenda Reidhead.
