The appeal, filed with the Interior Board of Land Appeals, applies to lands west of State Highway 276 between Ticaboo and the Bullfrog Ma-- , rina. The appeal applies to a portion of 1,520 acres selected last year by the State of Utah School and Institutional Trust Lands Administration. Of the 22.7 million acres managed by the BLM, onfy 8.5 million retain their wilderness character. Its unfortunate that with the amount of BLM land available, the state selected one ofthe few remaining wild areas said James Peck of SUWA.
