Show Page Three February SOUTHERN UTAH NEWS, Kanab, Utah 27, 1969 Know Your Packed Goods Appearance of a package can influence your choice of a pro duct, points out LeOna Swallow, Kane County Extension Aide. With a change in color, design or size of container, a manufacturer may be able to mask a price increase by lowering net contents and not changing the price. Because of this possibility, pay close attention to the net content on the label. Figure out which package actually gives you the most for your money. Manufacturers are constantly changing packages in a battle to get space on supermarket shelves. Once taken for granted, the common quart and pint bottles now often contain a few ounces less. Cans and boxes are thinner and taller. THIS I Check packages periodically or each time you see your favorite food in a package with a new lock. 4-- H Mrs. Swallow Leaders Attend USU Conference The 4 H Leaders Role in Citizenship Education, is the theme of the Leaders Conference being held at Utah State University in Logan, this 4-- H week, Feb. 24-2- 8.
