Life-Lcn- nt 81-m- MARVIN HOYT Resident Dies In Kanab Following Heart g Attack; Laid To Rest After Impressive Services Joseph Gumsey Brown, age 62, passed away in Kanab at the Kane County Hospital Tuesday morning, August 30, 1966, after suflering a heart attack. Mr. Brown was born in Kanab October 17, 1903, the sixth child and fourth son of Isaac Osborn and Mary Ellen Robinson Brown. She graduated from Utah State University in 1960 with a major in Home Economics Education and has also attended, the University of Arizona. For the past three years she has served as Home Agent Demonstrator for the Utah State University Extension Service, serving Garfield and Kane Counties. Prior to that Mrs. Hansen taught Home Economics and English at Tooele and North Sanpete High Schools. She is married to Willard Hansen who Is currently attending CSU. She is originally from Ephraim. L. Wayne Ayers. Mr. Ayers has just recently graduated from Brigham Young University with a major in Speech and Dramatic Arts and a minor in History. He will teach Speech, History and English at the Kanab High School. Prior to completing his studies at BYU he completed an LDS mission to Great Britain. Mr. and Mrs. Ayers are orginally from Tooele, and they have two small children. Glenn T. Seal. Dr. Seal will serve as Director of Pupil Personnel and Counselor at Kanab and Valley High Schools. He has a B.S. degree from the University of Utah with a major in Business Education and minor in Social Psychology. First speaker was Garth Chamberlain, followed by Burton McAllister. A vocal quartet sang "I Stand All Amazed. The group consisted of Nell Crosby, Preston Brooksby, Lorene Lamb and Donna Rae Tietjen, accompanied by Adele Crosby. Fred Heaton was the concluding speaker. The choir then sang The Lord Is My Shepherd, and President Daniel S. Frost offered the benediction. Pall bearers were members, of the Kanab Stake High CounciL Flowers, under the direction of the Relief Society, were carried by grandchildren of the deceased.
