Elmer (Leah) Jack-so- n is the Kanab Ladies Liter- ary League choice for their candidate of Mother of the year. Mrs. Jackson was chosen for her outstanding qualifications as a mother, for her work with the young people of Kanab, for her civic, church, and educational activities. She is the mother of three sons and one daughter. Valton, E Is teaching at the Institute of Religion and working on his Doctors degree at Arizona State College in Tempe, Arizona. Robert M. is an agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Las Vegas, Nevada. Norman H. is a partner In the law firm of Custin, Richards, and Matson of Richfield. Utah. Her daughter, Joyce McAllister, holds her bachelors degree in elementary education and is a former teacher in the Kanab elementary school. Joyce is presently work-inat being a good wife and mother. Mrs. has fifteen Jackson grandchildren. Cram Buried In Tcsda Laid To Rest In Kanab Tuesday Funeral services were held in Kanab Tuesday, February 9. for Reed G. Cram, age 61, who died of cancer Saturday in the Kane County Hospital. Born September 29, 1903 in Kanab he was the son of Charles Sanborn and Ruth Elizabeth Greenhalgh Cram. He married Genevieve McAllister, July 4, 1928 in Kanab. She died April church work. Survivors are: sons, daugh-ters- , Rolland Reed, Koyle, Chad, Mrs. Archer (Genevieve) Swapp, all of Kanab; Robert Gene, of Bountiful; Gary, Glendale; Mrs. Don (Carma) Ford, Albuquerque, Mew Mexico; and Mrs. Mark (Gail) Brown of Fort Stockton, Texas. 32 grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters: Mrs. Leona Heaton of Moccasin, Mrs. Roland Masterson of Orem, Charles of Kanab and Clint, Salt Lake City. Funeral services conducted it the Kanab Stake House were: Hotne prayer by Ed Heaton at the home of the deceaseds son, Chad. Burton McAllister offered opening prayer at the Stake House. The Ward Choir opened the services with a beautify se- - lection, followed by a talk on the life of the deceased by Parkes. LeRoy Judd sang. "Trees" a Ru-lo- n . Winona Pugh Bevan, age 33, died Sunday, January 31 at the Tooele Valley Hospital, Tooele, Utah, after an extended illness. Well known in Kanab, she was born June 9, 1931 at Salina, Utah, a daughter of- DevidJL and Iona Shaw Pugh. She Ynar ried James Lynn sol9, 1950. The marriage emnized in the SalMLake LDS Temple ttarch 28, 1951., Mrs. Bevan was a graduate of Tooele High School and had been an active member of the LDS Church. She served as teacher end Secretary in the Primary and was active in Relief Society and Cub Scouting work. are her husband Surviving and two teen aqe daughters. Vicki Lynn and Terri Lee, and her7 parents, all of Tooele; three brothers, Elden Pugh, of Gran- ger, Gaylon F. Pugh, Lehi, and Keitp Pugh, Midvale. Funeral services were held February 3 at 1 p.m. In the First Sixth Ward Chapel in Tooele.
