The County building at the east end of Center Street has been rieaned up and with shelves, displays and other needed equipment being added for the museum type exhibits that will be housed there. Also, the local chapter of the Daughters of The Pioneers, will have one room for early day articles and relics. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Mace and Andrew Johnston of Kanab are seting up the museum and making the setting very attractive, they are using many of their personal Indian relics and need the use of others in the town. All articles will be fully protected and catalogued for your protection, and will be returned to you when you want them. More than 93 friends and relatives called during the afternoon and evening to wish this pioneer resident a hapMrs. Jackson who py birthday. was born in Toquerville, Utah, lives alone in the home she and her late husband built some 5Q years ago, and does all her own housework, except for the semiannual housekeeping. She is in very good health at the present time,, and .attributes her ability to do for herself to three good meals a day, and I never skimp on my breakfast! She is an active member of the LDS Church, and haa been a promoter of many worth while community enterprises In her more than 70 years residency in this town. She came with her father, Lornm Pratt, when she was 12 years old, to cook for him when he and several other settlers arrived from Utah and laid out the town site and commenced farming operations with water from Kanab Creek. Her mother and the rest of the family came a few months later. She has four other living children, Earl of Fredonia, Lavell of Ridgeway, New Jersey, Harold of Las Vegas, and Weldon of Tucson, Ariz. She counts 32 grandchildren and six 54 to date. Several of her friends declare theyll attend her 90th birthday party, five years hence: Mr. and Mrs. Bob Green moved into their new Castleberry home in Fredonia last week. This is the first complete home of this type to be placed in Fredonia, and has been getting a lot of attention.
