Judd Kane County Cattlemen met January 9 in Kanab to elect new officers for 1962. Mack Frost is the new president with Earl Sorensen as vice president. The director to the State Cattlemens Association is Merrill MacDonald. Directors from Kanab are Floyd Maddox, Merrill Johnson, Finley Bunting and Ron-noBunting. Perry Lamb is the Orderville director and Lyle Chamberlain will act as director for Glendale. There will be one director appointed for Alton and one for Mt. Carmel. The secretary and treasurer will be appointed by the officers. Mr. FrOst stated that the new officers will outline the program to be carried out this coming year at a 4oard meeting to be held in the near future. Encouragement is given' to all cattle owners to join the County Association. Through organized efforts we can solve the program confronting the cattle industry.' Solper Morgan Wedding Vows Recited In Yuma Announcement of the recent marriage of Miss Suzanne Solper, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd B. Solper of Fredonia, to Mr. Mr.-an-d Ralph C. Morgan," Jr:, son of Mrs. R. C. Morgan of San Diego, was told at Christmas time when the newlyweds visited the Solper home. They recited wedding vows in Yuma, Arizona, September 3rd. The new Mrs. Morgan is a graduate of Arizona State University at Tempe, wherp she received her BA in Education, she was a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority. She has been teaching in San Diego for the past three years. Mr. Morgan attended the University of Mississippi and spent four years in the U.S. Air Force. The young couple plan to continue making their home in San Diego, where Mr. Morgan is in business. By Christie Mulliner Miranda Sorensen, Mt. Carmels oldest citizen passed away quietly in her sleep Friday morning, January 5 at the age of 88. She ' was born at Mt. Carmel, January 25, 1873, a daughter of ,Tohn and Margaret Esplin. While a child she moved with her parents to join the" United Order at Orderville. As a teenager, she worked in the woolen factory, which was located where bidden Lake Is now. She lived at Orderville until she was married. She married Hans C. Sorensen in the St. George LDS Temple in 1890. They moved to a farm near Mt. Carmel.
