F. West, Glen Canyon businessman. Mr WesL chairman of the Glen Canyon Committee, said that a petition was being circulated eligible voters here and would be ready to be presented at the regular county commissioners meeting to be held in Kanab Monday. Because Glen Canyon is unincorporated and unable to have city governmenL the Glen Canyon Committee was organized to make resolutions and recommendations. All actions of the commute are subject to approval by residents of Glen Canyon. Mr. WesL along with - others here, has not registered or voted in a county, state or national in the past two and a half years. Because most of the interested voters here work during the day and because the nearest registering place is at Kanab, Mr. West said, It has been impractical to drive the 60 miles to Kanab to register and vote." Mrs. Jere Bass and Eva Yeager will represent the Democratic and Republican parties on behalf of the nearly 50 eligible Glen Canyon voters. At least one Glen Canyon businessman has offered the use of his business location as a polling place, in an effort to obtain voting polls before the national election Nov. 8. .
