The library was operated with Mrs. Byrom and others handling the details on a volunteer basis, for several years, but when the Fredonia School needed the space for other purposes, the library books went into storage for about two years, with the cooperation of Coconino County officials, the Arizona State Library and Archives Board, and the Fredonia Womens Club members, the Fredonia Library Board came into existence and will supervise the present operation. A small room has been furnished in the Building to house the local collection, and the State Library i service will loan books to keep ' the facilities more up to date, Mrs. Holmes said.
