Miss Louise Robinson, Miss Fredonia for 1958, returned in triumph Monday evening from the Coconino County Fair at Flagstaff, where she was crowned Miss Coconino County Sunday evening. She thus won the right to represent the county in the Miss Arizona contest at the Arizona State fair in Phoenix in November from a group of 13 girls living in Flagstaff and Williams. A reception in honor of Miss Robinson was held Monday night in the Fredonia High school auditorium, with 150 people present. Carl S. Hutton was master of ceremonies. Miss Robinson thanked all present for the support she had been given and Mayor Arland Brooksby pledged the support of the Fredonia Town Council in her next step toward becoming Miss America for 1959. The high school band, under J. Evan the triumphal Bean, played march and one other number. Miss Robinson, 19, is the daughter of Mrs. George Robinson and is a graduate of the Fredonia schools. She is an active member of the L D S church, especially interested in music and dramatics. All Fredonia is behind Louise in her further participation in the Miss Arizona contest. The meeting will be for all Legionnaires and those eligible men and women who served in the armed forces during World War I, World War II, and the Korean War of District 7, which is made up of posts in Kanab, Parowan, Panguitch, Milford, Beaver, Cedar City, Enterprise, Minersville, St. George, Hurricane, Escalante, and Orderville.
