Wer have a handy inventory Weekly Hews Notes Earl Spendlove Last week, Alton Pugh, A S C office manager, and I met with Ace Roundy, ASC farmer field man, and Tom Evans, S C S area conservationist, to discuss working relations between the S C S and the ASC on the county level. I think they havent found any in the state who get along any better than Alton and I do. When I work with a man who is as easy to get along with as Alton and I do and dont get along I feel it would be my fault. They found a couple of places where we werent going exactly by the book, but we were able to show them that we were saving time, and they thought it was all right. While I am on the ASC, it might be well to mention that they held an election last Tuesday and Rell Little of Kanab was elected to fill the position left vacant when Donald Swapp resigned because he was Republican county chairman. R e served for a good many years as secretary for the Kane County Soil Conservation district and I know that he will do a good job on the ASC corpmittee. As the ASC committee is now set up, Mrk Swapp is chairman, Lawrence Esplin is vice chairman, and Rell will be member. Lynn Findlay and I had a good chat while we were waiting in line for the steak dinner the L D S church served to rais funds for .their new Stake hou.e. Lynn is making plans for seeding grass this fall. In cooperation with the Kane County Soil Conservation district, he is going to put in what we call a field-sizplanting trial.
