Adams, well known County stockman and County Assessor, is recovering this week after suffering a severe heart attack Thursday evening, March started to feeling pains in his chest Thursday noon, and decided to go to the doctor later that afternoon. Dr. P. G. Fulstow who diagnosed the case advised Mr. Adams to go directly to the hospital where Dr. Fulstow had oxygen and all necessary details ready at the time that the attack struck Mr. Adams, and is no doubt credited with saving his life at the time. At this writing, Tuesday, Mr. Adams is getting along as well as well as can be expected after the severe attack. The contest is open to boys studying vocational agriculture In high schools. On Tuesday of this week, we had Howard Stokes, Soil Conservation Service Soil Scientist from Cedar City talk to two vocational classes, and in the afternoon he took them out in the field and showd them right on the ground, how to tell the difference in soil texture, permeability and water holding capacity. He showed them these things, plus soil depth and slope go to determine what class the land falls in, and how these factors make it necessary for farmers to install certain conservation practices to keep soil in place and the land from deter' iorating. P-T- k Utah Man Dies In Local Restaurant Allen Andrew Edmunds, 45 southern Utah miner and resident of Spring City, Utah dropped dead from a heart attack in Kanab last Friday in the Crosby Cafe. According to City Marshal Alvin Jones Mr. Edmunds was pronounced dead soon after the attack by Dr. P. G. Fulstow who was called to the cafe, at 10:30 a.m. Marshal Jones said that relatives of the deceased were called at Spring City.
