Another run in the 3rd appeared to be the icing on the cake, when the bottom fell out in the sixth and last inning. To say it was an exciting game is an understatement. It had all the thrills one could expect and of course heart break for the local players, as weU as the fans who had made the long, long trip. Blackie Janes Manager wanted it known how proud he was of these kids and especially after missing plane connections the boys came home on the bus and had to stand from Salt Lake City to Richfield. They were gentlemen and well behaved. Blackie Janes, no one, except those closely associated with this team, know of the many, many hours of hard work which went into the moulding of the team.
