At 9:00 a.m. there was a turkey shoot; at 11 a.m. sports for all ages; Concessions of various kinds; Program at 230 with Bishop Jack Maxwell in charge; prayer, by Donald Campbell; Mrs. Levere Brinkerhoff was the reader and announced each part on the program by telling of the early life and ways of the pioneer settlers. Chorus was sung by the Barbershop quartet, Bishop Maxwell and brothers, Delwyn, Jim and Ted, accompanied on piano by Ranee Maxwell. A guitar duct by Alta and Penny Spencer. A dance by the Primary children, Jacklyn and Mark Chamberlain, Lapriel and Kristene Brlnker- Workmans of Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Reese and family of Mapleton, Utah visited here over the 24th week end. Mr. and Mrs. LaVier Talt and family of Fredonla visited here the day of the 24th. Visitors at the Gam Black-buhome was Mr. and Mrs. Pete Dirkmat of Salt Lake City. The Jorgensen reunion was held Saturday at the Cornell Chamberlain ranch. There' were 68 members present all were direct descendants of Joseph Ira and Elenore Hoyt Jorgenson. All but two families and three missionaries were In attendance. Those attending were Mr. and Mrs. Alton Orton and family; Mr. and Mrs. Vardimon Jorgensen and family of Saljt Lake City; Mrs. Israel Jorgensen and family of Brigham City; Mrs. Louralne Ramsay and family of Alberque, New. Mexico; Mr.and, Mrs. LeGrande C. Heaton and family of Orderville; Mr. and Mrs. Cornell Chamberlain and family of Chamberlain Ranch. Visitors at the Merrill Lambs home Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Hall of Washington, Utah. The pageant "Land of Destiny" was presented July 24th to an over flowing house and on July 25th to a full house. This was an outstanding performance and all should be congratulated for the performance. A Testimonial Missionary was held for Elder Reed Fisher son of Mr. and Mrs. B. O. Fisher Sunday evening. m Word was received here Monday to Mrs. Grace G. Heaton of the birth of a son to Mr. . and Mrs. Dell Spencer of Salt Lake City, this is their 1st; Congratulations. Mrs. Spencer is the former Lu Jean Heaton. The road shows presented here by the Kanab Stale Monday night were well attended. camp Is the most talked event thisweek. Mrs. Claire Claridge of Arizona, and her daughter Mrs. Ruth Farr of Provo, visited relatives here this week. Mr. and Mrs. Lue H. Brinkerhoff and family went to Odgen over the 24th weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Anderson went to Salt Lake the Past week end to see relatives and take e their granddaughter, C a who has here been Spencer, Saf-for- 1 1 d, 1 visiting. The MIA Roadshows from the Kanab Stake (Were presented here Monday evening and were especially good. Home Missionaries it sacrament services were Elder Rich; ard Johnson and lady friend who both gave very good talks, a good talk by Gerald Spencer, and a piano solo by Carol Sue Brinkerhoff. A Jorgenson Reunion was held July 25th at Chamberlains Ranch with some 60 persons being in attendance. Helen Sorensen Clark, 45, died in an Elyria, Ohio, hospital Friday following a short illness. Borri in Glendale, January 5, 1919, a daughter of Jacob A. dfi d Iva Spencer Sorensen. She married Steward Clark in October 1944 In San Francisco. Has lived In Elyria since her mar- riage during which time she has been very active in the to which she belonged having served as Relief Society President in Cleveland, Stake Relief Society Work Director, Visiting Relief Society Teacher (in this capacity caring for the members under her direction during each day of . week in their illnesss and otherwise) Sundays School teachery for young adults Junior Sunday School coordinator, Relief Society Secretary and magazine representative as well as serving as organist- for all the ward organizations except the MIA. She also served as president of the PTA for two years. Survivors: husband a son, Paul, both of Elyria; mother -- and one brother, Garth, both of Glendale; one sister, Mrs. Ei- bert Rider (Beth), Cedar City. Funeral services were held in Elyria Monday.
