Show SOUTHERN Fags Four Friday In Sail Lake Ken&b Sedan-Ver- 1952 With traditional ribbon cutting ceremonies, the 1957 Utah State Fair and Industrial Exposition will open its gates to thg. public Friday for a ten daw show offering many new attractions and some of the old perennial favorites. Offical opening ceremonies are scheduled for 11 a.m. at the flag pole, west of the State Fair Administration building. The states first lady, Mrs. George D. Clyde, will cut the white ribbon to symbolize opening of the states big exposition. A squadron of Jet planes will salute the event. of the states Nearly population is expected to visit the fair during the ten day Interval. Admission will remain the same as last year, with a system giving fair visitors free general admission to grandstand entertainment after the yenter the fair grounds. Stock car racing September 22 will be the only exception. According to Don Wyatt, of the fair, entertainment will be at its best for every member of the family. The department of fish and game said rulings of the Utah Board of Big Game Control allow two special deer permits to each big game license holder, provided that only one such - permit rould be on any one such hunting unit- This board action followed a Legislative change in the law this year, which had previously restricted these permits to one to the license holder. The other new regulaton this year allows the possessor of a special deer permit to also use his regular license tag to take another deer on the special hunting unit. The agreement that the farmer signs runs for one year. Farmers may sing up between now and Oct. 4, 1957. The Oct. 4th date is the deadline and no signups will be made after that date.
