Show SOUTHERN UTAH NEWS Opinion 4 WEDNESDAY JUNE 6, 2001 Dixie Speaks The Southern Utah Neivs would like to express sincere appreciation to Congressman Chris Cannon for spending last Friday in Kanab. His willingness to meet with different groups, as well as his candid comments on local and national issues, were much appreciated. Many Kane County residents have felt impotent over dramatic changes which have occurred in southern Utah over the past five years. They felt they had no voice in decision-makin- g affecting them and their future. While Cannon is only one voice representing rural Utah, the fact that he's willing to come and listen to voter concerns, as well as update his constituents on the reality of issues, speaks well of him. It would be refreshing if our other elected officials would follow suit. Letters to the Editor What is your opinion? This newspaper welcomes opinions from its readers concerning any subject.
