Valley Lions Club, Southern Richelle Robbins was one of fifty students selected statewide to attend the 10th annual Acadat Southern Utah emy July University. The academy was founded by Governor Norman H. Bangerter, former SUU President Gerald Sherratt, and SUU Assistant Vice President of Student Services D. Mark Barton. It is now endorsed by Governor Michael O. Leavitt, who addressed the students at the opening ceremonies. The academys purpose is to introduce Utahs brightest young students to Utahs leaders in business, technology, humanities, politics and education. It annually provides a forum to instill a commitment of excellence in tomorrows leaders. The academys motto is to nurture the life of the mind.
