Good place to live Dear Editor: THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts to all our friends, neighbors and family who showed their love and support at the time of our beloved Mothers death. It is gratifying to know that so many others loved and respected her as we did. The outpouring of love and compassion you showed us -- through flowers, food, donations, cards, calls and visits helped to ease our pain and loss. Thank you to the 3rd and 6th Ward Relief Societies for the childcare and delicious luncheon, to the medical staff who attended Mom, to the Mosdell Family who became such a supportive part ofa grieving family, and to all of you who have shared your friendship, love and support with our family over the years. What a wonderful place to live! Merilyn & Ed Riggs Cheryl & Bill McLendon Dennis & Pam McDonald and Grandchildren Thanks Tiffanie Dear Editor: There is someone in our community who needs to be publicly recognized. I for one am grate-- ' ful for Tiffanie Torgerson who goes the extra mile to volunteer her time and expense to go to the nursing home and cut hair, give perms etc. for those residents. Most of the time, this is at her own expense and in some pretty adverse conditions. I would like to personally thank her in behalf of the care she has shown my mom at the nursing home. Thanks Tiffanie! Jane Callister Kanab Blood Dear Editor: On the evening of February 11th around 7:30, there was so much blood shed on the highway four miles east of Fredonia that vehicles driving through it would make bloody tire marks for almost a block, but that blood really goes farther than that, because somewhere there is a person or persons who have that blood on their hands. That blood was shed by Redell Torgerson, and two horses he hit on his way home to Kanab from Prescott, AZ. Those horses were in the highway because somebody had left a nearby stock gate open. I thought under the circum stances of that traffic accident i t would be front page news in your paper, but since nothing was published then- or since then about it, Im sure its because you didnt know the details, and the importance of publishing them. If you didnt know the details of that accident, it stands to reason that the person(s) responsible for it, possibly might not be aware of what they caused. There is an urgent reason they be made aware that in their negligence of closing that stock gate, they are guilty of causing the tragic death of Redell Torgerson. The tragic loss of him to his family, and yes a tragic loss of the two horses to the man who used them to make a living to support his family. It is urgent to make them aware in their causing that tragic accident. By law they could be charged with negligent homicide, that being a gross and wanton negligence that results officer of the law in death-(a- n Restaurathe Frontier Bar-B-informed me of that).
