Show School SOUTHERN UTAH NEWS WEDNESDAY MAY 8, 1998 14 Janes National Award winner The United States Achievement Academy announced recently that Jahanna Janes has been named a United States N Award winner in History and Government. This award is a prestigious honor very few students can ever hope to attain. The Academy recognizes less than 10 of all American school students. Jahanna Janes, who attends Kanab Middle School was nominated for this national award by Mrs. Jeanine Johnson, a teacher at the school. Jahanna will appear in the United States Achievement Christmas Seal art winner Out of 60,000 entries, Kelly Sweets drawing was chosen as Utahs First Prize winner in the Christmas Seal Kids Drawing Contest, which represented feeling good at the holidays. The contest was open to all children in the United States, and was a project that ages the students in the art program at Kanab Elementary School participated in.
