These 1960 and 1961 class members have been seen in the area! Marilyn Brown (1960) mar- ried Ken Burch and they have lived in Fredonia for manyyears. She is still in Fredonia while Ken travels back and forth to Las Vegas to work. Merlin Cluff (1960) spent many years in the Navy as an, Chaplain. He has retired from the Navy and he and his family now reside in Fredonia. Elaine Wittwer (1961) is now living in Fillmore, Utah. We haven't heard a lot about her, but we sure do hope to see her at the reunion to catch up on missed years. Melvin Heaton (1961) lives in Moccasin. He has run the "Hon- eymoon Trail" for years. This is a horse and wagon trek that goes from Moccasin to St. George each year. Coach Benny Jordan, our much loved teacher and friend, is still in Fredonia. He and his wife Joy have been a steady force for good in Fredonia. How lucky for us that he chose our school. Giff Early (1961) was camera shy I guess. I couldn't find one picture ofhim in any of my books. He married Carolyn Glazier S from Kanab and they live in donia. He worked for Whiting Bros, driving truck until they closed the mill. Friday, May 26 started out as a typical day in beautiful downtown Fredonia, then all hail broke loose. At 3 p.m. the flowers werebloomingand the trees were full with leaves but after 15 minutes of 34 inch hailstones, it looked like an early fall. ADOT brought out the snow plows to clear away the three inches of hail stones that accumulated along Main Street. Many vehicles were damaged and gardens were destroyed. Several people and animals have suffered bruises and contusions from being hit by the hail. There were piles of hail along the streets until Sunday. No, Virginia, that wasnt snow. Street lights are still very confused and stay on all the time. VW' ,l ?!. There have been several reports of sightings of funnel clouds in the Kaibab Industries area. Travelers in the area thought that Kaibab had been hit by a tornado because the buildings Ak v Vt were in a state of destruction.
