Faces of Utah: A Centennial Portrait Attention Photographers. The Centennial of Utahs statehood is just around the corner. We are asking our citizens to participate in a call for entries for photographic essays of the state for inclusion in an exhibit at the Nora Eccles Harrison Museum of Art, a traveling exhibit to twenty-nincounties within the state and a possible e inclusion in a commemmorative centennial book. 1. The request is for photographic essays of ten or more prints. Some possible topics are Utahs people, Main streets in rural Utah, Utah towns, Work traditions, Religious life and culture, Environment and land 2. Black and white or color prints may be submitted. 3. Prints must be 8"xl0 or larger. Since these prints will become an archive for future generations, attention to archival processing standards is im- portant. 4. The focal point for the Faces of Utah: A Centennial Portrait is January 4, 1995. All prints should be submitted to the Mountain West Center for Regional Studies at Utah State University, Logan, Utah 84322-073- 5 by April 15, 1995. 5. Competition will be juried by: Craig Law, R. T. Clark, John Telford, Shannon R. Hoskins. 6. Only original works completed within the past two years will be considered for the exhibi tion. The submission of work to the Mountain West Center is an agreement on the part of the artist to conditions set forth herein. Submission of an entry constitutes permission to photograph the art work for educational and publicity purposes. The event was a tremendous success, netting approximately $4500 for the Kanab City Library fund. Thanks to all of the people who donated the trees and also to those who purchased them.
