This summer we will explore and have many wonderful adventures with books, movies and fun activities. The theme for our 1986 Summer Reading Program is BOOKS: YOUR OWN ADVENTURE! Miss Anne Heydorn, assistant librarian will be your guide for six weeks of fun and adventures. The Program will be from June 2 - July 11. It is for all children, five years old and up. Sign up now before June 2, at the Kanab City Library. We will have more details within the next two weeks. LIBRARY HOURS Kanab City Library hours will be as follows until May 31. Monday - 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. Tues. - Fri. 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. News Junior Riders Meet Saturday 4-- H The Zane Grey Junior Riders will meet with their horses at the Kanab Race Track arena at 10 a.m. this Saturday, May 10. All interested youth are encouraged to be there promptly. Performing one of their numbers during the Larrlette Review last weekend are several of the KHS precision dancers. He will name the daughter of Kent and Toni and the son of Lorene (I dont know her married name). Naomi Hall from St. George is visiting at the home of her mother, LaDonna Harris. Her house has been sold, and she is still in the process of moving. We may find out how the democratic process works, when a special interest group with a purpose converge on Washington, D.C. Dee Porter joined representatives of rural telephone cooperatives across America, as they traveled to our nations capitol to lobby for funds to upgrade the rural telephone systems. Stella Workman is in Sunset where she is visiting at the home of her daughter, Judy. She also hopes to obtain medical help while there. For the fourth year in a row he has represented our high school at the State Drama Meet. Each year he has received a superior rating which is the highest honor. We missed them and are glad to have them back home. The B.R. The John DeMilles, the Horace Burrows and John Crofts had a family cook-ou- t. Mr. Larry Stevens has been at his place in Mt. Carmel. Mrs. Peggy Reese and sons of Las Vegas have been here visiting her mother, Rena Tait. Miss Laurene Bolander and her sister, JoAnn and daughters have been here visiting the Joseph Bolanders. Mrs. Euleneo liepworth 4and Wayne Jones have been visiting at the Rollan Hoyts. Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Hamblin and Faris Brown of Hurricane visited Lasca Chamberlain Saturday. The John Crofts had family members visiting on Sunday. Lynnette and Judy DeMille, daughters of Edward DeMille, visited the John DeMilles. Mrs. Marie Hepworth has been visiting at the Paul Hardy home. Mr. and Mrs. Doug Sorensens have been visiting at the Elburn Sorensen home. Mr. and Mrs. Allen Cox visited in Las Vegas Monday till Wednesday last week. James Glover was re- meeting, elected chairperson .of the Republican '..party in. Orderville; Jacque Glover was elected and Nan E. Johnson, secretary. Six people filled out forms for election judges; they were Donna H. Adair, Elizabeth H. Sorensen, Lorraine J. Ramsay, Golda B. Adair and Minnie Jo Wixom. Two candidates for county positions were in attendance: VerJean Caruso for Deputy Recorder and Dellas Sorensen for Assessor. They each gave a talk. Five delegates were chosen to go to County Convention May 15. They were Jay L. Ramsay, James Brad Adair, James M. Glover, Terry V. Jolley and Scot C. Goulding.
