Files Mining Cottage Program Offers Hope In Drug Alcohol Troubles Application answer to the drug problem is EDUCATE rather than DICTATE. The COTTAGE PROGRAM does just that. Starting with the family in the home, the program educates all members on how to handle an alcohol or drug problem should it arise in your family or your neighbors family. The abuse of alcohol and other drugs is a nationwide problem. "Educate now or spent taxpayers money The later. The COTTAGE PROGRAM is being used through- out the United States. Governor Matheson has endorsed the COTTAGE PROGRAM and supports the installation of it throughout Utah. The public is invited to attend training meetings June 3, 4, and 5, 1982 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Zions First National Bank Community Room, Kanab, Utah. If your time does not permit attending all 3 days, attend what time you can. Your experience and information will be rewarding. Theft Of Jewelry Investigated Also under investigation by Cp. Cram is a reported theft of jewelry near Jacob Lake. The incedent took place on May 27. Mason Lee Geer, a salesman for Gaddis Jewelers of Albuquerque, N.M. had jewelry packed in display cases, covered with plastic, in trunks and boxes in his Ford pickup when he stopped at the lodge. He went from there to the North Rim where he found one trunk was missing. Cpl. Cram was called. The missing trunk that held 288 pieces of silver and turquoise jewelry, was found when Geer went back to Jacob Lake. It and part of the display stand was beside the road. It appeared that it had fallen either from Geers truck or from some other vehicle. All the jewelry was missing except for three small pieces Cpl. Cram found about 20 feet off the highway. He was elected the Barristers Club of Santa Barbara and served as a director of the Santa Barbara County Bar Association. His experience includes handling a broad range of federal tax matters, including income tax planning, estate planning, business planning, estate and gift taxation, retirement income planning, and charitable giving. In addition, he has experience in litigation and probate administration. Lyle was admitted to the California Bar in 1977. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Tax Court and other federal courts, and is currently seeking admission to the Utah State Bar. He is married to Lucy Cannon, and they have four children. Lyle received his undergraduate education at Brigham Young University, where he graduated with Highest Honors and was designated a University Scholar. William Blake Stud- Cedar Breaks Opens June 2 The Visitor Center at Cedar Breaks National Monument is scheduled to open for the summer season on Wednesday, June 2nd. The road through the park will be opened to traffic on May 28 allowing access through the park to Brian Head and Panguitch Lake from Utah Highway 14. The campground and picnic area in the park remain closed due to snow and wet grounds. Summer programs in the e park will begin in with a daily schedule of guided walks, special demonstrations, and evening campfire programs. The campground will be opened by June 15 with an overnight camping fee of $3.00 per vehicle. Books, posters and film are available for sale at the visitor information center in the park.
