Eric wont be too lonesome over there, for if you remember, Elder Johnson from Fredonia will be there also. Eric traveled to American Fork this past weekend to attend the missionary farewell of one Elder Hansen, who was a roommate while they both attended college at Dixie. All these folks are from Las Vegas. I want to thank you all for letting me visit with you for this hour and to thank Jane for asking me to fill in while she was gone. And to you, Master Brent Drew, I did not take your coat, and if you kids would remember where you put things you would not have to go around borrowing things from your old grandmothers. So, until another time, keep looking. Get Cowboy Jackets Back There are several red Kanab football jackets with COWBOYS spelled in white across the back that are missing. Most of them are probably hanging in the closets of former players who have used them and then just forgotten to return them. If any alumni or Mothers know of any of these jackets please return them to Coach Hafen. Its going to be cold in Monticello and the football team is short of jackets. Saturday was our belated Labor Day in Alton or it might have been called the "Official Tater Diggin Day." Whatever it was, it found many of the Altonites busy in their gardens harvesting the last of the last. A little girl in was very town, though, grateful for a sunshiny, relatively warm, fall day. It was Shannon Heatons birthday and she was baptized in the town reservoir. She came out of the chilly water with her eyes and countenance beaming. There were nearly 30 friends and relatives who came to watch. Shannon's Leonard and grandparents, Edna Heaton, her Aunt Olive and family, Bishop O. Palmer and family, a handful of girl and friends from school numerous children and friends from Alton were there. Congratulations, Shannon! You were a very courageous girl, and we are very proud of you. We are happy for the membership records of Anita Heaton, which were voted upon Sunday. Anita wanted her records returned to her ol hometown before her December marriage to Ron Dayton. We want her to know that she is always welcome here.
