(You'll need it.) from your present Studentbody Council, Danette Frost, President; Fran Hamblin, Vice President; Myrna Mickelson, Secretary, Marcy McAllister, Public Relations; Dena Willis, Head Cheerleader. Also at election time we voted in a new squad of cheerleaders. They are Loretta Clarkson, Joni Winters, Cyd Bunting, Lisa Snelgrove, Tami Cox, Kim Haynes and Dana Presi- dent, because of her lovable personality and promises for a fun year next year. Randy Reese won his race for Vice President with his captivating charm and humor. Lori Bunting was elected Secretary for her capability and dependable appearance. Rinda Reese won her office of Public Relations with her big smile and radio announcer act. Sara Aiken was voted Head Cheerleader because of her friendly personality and Weaver. J.V. On the 26th and 27th of April, meets were held in Panguitch. On the 28th they traveled to Snow College to participate in a meet and on the 2nd of May they went to the Region Track Meet. They did pretty well and proved that all their hard work and long hours of training and preparing really paid off. Besides Region Track on the 2nd there was also the annual FFA Parents and Sons Banquet. It turned out to be a very in enjoyable evening. Mrs. Reese and her Home Ec students prepared the meal and the FFA did the program. Its Spring Concert time again and this year it will be held on the 3rd of May in the Valley High Gym. Esther Heaton and her top drama students, along with the Kanab group attended the State drama meet held at the University of Utah this past weekend. Our Vickie Heaton was among those who participated. Nancy Roundy hosted a Jafra party in Alton on Saturday. Many of the women and young girls attended the event. Cheree Hoyt gave facials and passed on many helpful beauty and grooming tips. It just doesn't seem possible that Anita Heaton will be graduating from college this Spring! She graduates in June from Utah State University. She will be back in Southern Utah to teach school at Bryce Valley High School starting this fall. Congratulations, , Anita! Dennis Glen Owen, son of George and Terri Lynn Owen of Clovis, New Mexico, was found Sunday, April 22, in about 5 feet of water and about 10 feet from shore. The youth apparently slipped or fell from a two-foembankment into the water. His body was found about 20 feet from the family motor home. The Kane County Sheriffs office, in conjunction with the National Park Service, investigated the incident.
