Show Page Six September 21, Kane Foundation Orderville news and events gets incorporated The Kane County Foundation is finally legal. This past week the incorporation papers were received from the Secretary of State and the organization is moving ahead on many fronts in an effort to formalize a program. Dr. Richard A. Thompson was in the area last Sunday and outlined an aggressive program of interest to the area. He stated that he would have one day a week free from his work at Southern Utah State College to run test-dig- s in the area to determine the full extent of the artifacts that are available here in Kane County. In other action, Foundation grants were taken under consideration and a listing of those who might be most interested in the work and activities of this region were considered. Before any real action can be done on this particular project, it will be necessary for the local organization to begin to make an active commitment to the project and to become fully involved in all that is being considered. At its meeting on September 14, the Foundation approved its Constitution and fee schedule. Another meeting has been slated for September 27, the Wednesday prior to the UEA vacation. All persons who are interested in the Foundation and its work on the Indian ruins and other natural and historical aspects are cordially invited to attend the meeting at 7:30 p.m. at Kanab High School. The old street lights are bright on main street (all but one which needs a new bulb). Now there is no excuse for holding hands so tight you wont get lost, now your way is surely lighted.
