Burt, Audrea- - t0 Steve s- - Bunting, of Jr., of Las Vegas, Nev., announce Kanab. couP'e Pan a June IS wed the engagement of their daughter, ding in the St. George LDS Temple. The bride-to-bis a 1971 graduate of Clark High School, and is presently attending Southern Utah State College. Her fiance is a 1966 graduate of Kanab High School. He served a two-yemission for the LDS Church, and is a graduate of SUSC. He holds a degree in police science. A reception will be held for the couple in Las Vegas cn June 16, and an open house will be held in Kanab on June 24 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Bunting at 6:30 p.m.. Friends and relatives are cordially invited. Mr. and Mrs. Eon Beard and Mr. and Mrs. M. W. Beard spent the weekend in Salt Lake City visiting the Bill Webbs and attending Dons graduation from Weber State College in Ogden. Allison and Bill Webb, Jr., are visiting their grandparents, the M. W. Beards. Christy and Kjeresti Beard visited last week in Las Vegas with the Ed Markgrafs, Christys parents. Among local residents to attend the Southern Utah State College commencement June 2 were Mr. and Mrs. Clark Swapp and Mr. and Mrs. Don Swapp of Kanab. They witnessed the graduation of their son and grandson, Duane Swapp, who received a degree in sociology. Dr. Albert C. Tanner was the speaker before the 283 graduates and some 2,000 spectators. Duane is presently working at Jacob Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Beams from Ceal Beach, Calif., visited in Kanab the past weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Swapp, and with other friends and relatives. Here this week seeing relatives and friends are: Miss Bobbie Wilcox and Laura Lang from St. George, Miss Fon Cox from California and Mrs. Zelda Robertson and family from Midvale. e Mr. and Mrs. Doug Utley, formerly of Kanab, have been having good luck on the racing circuit, according to information received in Kanab this week. They are presently racing their horses and the horses that Doug in Omaha. trains at The big one they won was the a $20,000 Queens Handicap, added event.
