NOTICE OF INVITATION TO BID Bids will be accepted until 5:00 P.M. on June 23, 1972, at the Kane County School District office, Kanab, Utah; for one 66- - passenger school bus. Bids must include total price delivered f.o.b. Kanab, with a separate bid for delivery f.o.b. factory. The Board of Education shall have the choice of place of delivery. The Kane County School District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, or waive any informality in connection with the awarding of the bid. NOTE: If a supplier cannot meet exact specifications of a particular item, but can furnish evidence that die item they propose to furnish is equal or superior to that listed on the specification sheet, or that they are unable to furnish specific items, they shall so indicate on the bid proposal. The Board of Education shall reserve the right to accept or reject this variation. The vehicle must meet the Standards in the specifications before payment will be made by the Board of Education. Failure to meet specifications could result in refusal of acceptance. Bus specifications can be obtained at the Kane County School District office. Miss Lisa Swapp, daughter of Sherril and Ella Swapp of Fredonia, has enlisted in the Marine Corps DeSfe layed Enlistment Program. on Juae will leave for active duty A local Peter Curley graduated from Parowan High School last week. Peter had lived in Kanab for five years in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Theo McAllister. The McAllisters drove over for the graduation program. They report Peter has been called on a mission for the LDS Church, but his destination is not known as yet. Peter was a Navajo student in the student placement program. He was active in sports while attending school in Kanab. His mother, Martina, nad broth- ers and sisters from Coyote Canyon, N.M., were also present for his graduation. Don Reworth, the local Marine Corps woman cruiter, Lisa is the first from the local area to enlist in the Marine Corps in some time. Plans were discussed for the county convention set for Saturday, June 10, at the courthouse. Everyone will be invited to attend, but only delegates will have voting privileges at the session, Brown said. The meeting will start at 10 a.m. Jim Carrico has been named chairman of the resolutions committee. A chairman for the credentials committee will be appointed later. It is hoped that several of the GOP candidates for election will be present at the meeting, the chairman commented.
