Third place was won by Jenny and Bob Dews from Page with 80. Reta and Owen Johnson won first place in the handicap division with a net score of 79. Alta and Jim Yardley were again second. Maevonne and Roger Steadman, from Richfield captured third with 81. Other local golfers who participated were Lonna and Dick Spencer, LeOna and Doyle Swallow, Connie and Peter Sundwall and Carol and Garth Penney. Those who have season tickets remember that they are good for 90 days. If you purchased yours the first of July it will be good until the pool closes. But if you got yours the middle of June it will run ou two weeks before the pool closes. The hours will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. except for Tuesdays which will be 4 to 7 p.m. er The Fredonia Ward wood project was a great success this summer. On Saturday they finished delivering the amount of wood contracted for and had about four loads over. The contractee asked if the remainder could be delivered also. Of course when the bishop can get a crew it will be delivered. On Saturday there were approximately 50 people on hand to help with the work. The night before 15 or so men loaded and delivered three or four loads. On her great back nine, which she carded at 34, Mrs. Hulbert finished with four straight birdies. She had only one three-pugreen. Several of our citizens have been to the Kanab hospital this week: Nan Tait with an attack of appendicitis; Earnest Haskie and Shirley Riggs for medical treatment; and Tommy Mitchell for an appendectomy. Tommy is here on vacation, staying with Gene Mitchell (what a way to spend a vacation.) Jensen went to Phoenix to take Sues mother, Mrs. Drummond to catch a plane back co Texas. Mrs. Drummond has been here visiting part of the Earl Cram has returned from Vietnam where he has been stationed in the Air Force. After a short leave he will be stationed in North Carolina. Last Monday the wind picked up part of Elsworth Swapps roof and laid it on the ground. Most of it has been rebuilt with metal shingles in hopes it will not be lifted again. Mr. and Mrs. Glade Hurst were here visiting for the weekend. Glade is a school teacher in the Granite School District in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Cram had other visitors for the weekend. Joe and Kay Hatch from Bullfrog, and Richard and Nadene Campbell and their four boys from Page. This summer Clay and Pat McCulloch have visited various places. They have been to Ogden and Salt Lake City for one trip and to Flagstaff for another.
