MUSIC SHOP NOON TO 5:30 p.m. - Phone 5 Glendale news and events Mr. Mont Anderson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Vem Anderson, graduated at SUSC in Cedar City June 5, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in accounting. His wife is the former Carol Sue Brinkerhoff. Mrs. Iva Sorenson, Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Anderson and others from here attended the wedding of Eva Dallin and Moroni Bowler of St. George on Saturday June 12, at the St. George Temple. Also attending the wedding were, Mrs. Gwen Higley of American Fork and Mr. and Mrs. Mort Peterson of Springville who have been visiting the past week. Mrs. Higley and Mrs. Peterson are sisters of Eva. Mrs. Helen Woodhouse and two children from Oregon are here visiting her parents the Cleon Jacksons. Visiting here the past week were Mr. and Mrs. George Robinson and his family, Mr. and Mrs. Dee Workman and family. Louisa A. Brinkerhoff, Rhonda Lou Page, Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Pugh and Mr. and Mrs. Sam Pugh attended the wedding reception of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Mackel-pran- g at Bountiful on June 5. They were married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mr. Sherman Cox left this week for Denver, Colo., where he has enrolled in school. He is a recent graduate of Valley High School. William L. Roberts got his PhD in Zoology at the Commencement Exercises at USU in Logan June 5. His Major Professor was Dr. Datus M. Hammond. Title of his dissertation was: Fine Structural Study of the Exogenous and Asexual Endogenous Stages of Eimeria callospermophili. He taught the past 9 months at SUSC in Cedar City. He has accepted a post doctoral fellowship at the School of Medicine at the University of Miami, Fla., where he will spend two years studying under Dr. Cellular Ageing, rl Morris Rockstein. His family, Pugh Roberts and two sons and two daughters, will leave for Miami the middle of July. Visiting here the past week were: Mr. and Mrs. Charles M. Brinkerhoff and family of Cedar City, Mr. and Mrs. Verland Rose (Lonna) of Tooele, Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Bunting and family from Page and Miss Gloria Salabiye also from Arizona. Recently admitted to the Kane County Hospital have been: Linda Van Driel, Fredonia; Val Banks, Vera Swapp, and Glen Robinson of Kanab. The Jim Callison family from Cedar City was here for a while Sunday. The Boyd Chamberlains and Sheryl Ann Smith were visitors Lamb and Lou Covington We wish them both a speedy recovery. Luana Clark and Sessie Clark will join Merrill and Gary in Spanish Fork and they all will attend R Deans graduation from dental school. The John E. Troys were in Salt Lake City last week for medical help for their daughter, Tia. Mrs. Kez Meeks and her daughter, Stacy, visited here from their home in Henderson, Nev. The Sam Chamberlains have moved into the Callison home. folks from Mrs. Chamberlains Nephi were here to help them get settled. Kyran Sorensen of Page visited at the Elbum Sorensen home. Members of the Dave Foote family spent several days camping at their old home in the Barracks. The Darell Footes were here from Nevada, the Leonard Footes from Spanish Fork and the Warren Footes from Logan. They were joined here by Bill and Mildred Keller from Kanab and the Alma Kellers from Orderville. These boys have traveled to many places over the last few years in line with their work, so it seems especially good to know that they still like to come back home. Mrs. Michael Robinson and son, Dusty, of Kanab, visited at the Richard Esplin home Saturday afternoon. A number of the priesthood members from here attended the work day at the Church Ranch Saturday, and several high priests went to Page for their party Saturday night. Colleen Sorensen visited in Cedar City with the Dale Brinker-hoff- s Friday. Cheryl Shakespeare of Tropic is here staying with the Darel Sawyers while she works at the Thunderbird. The Reo Heaton family has moved to St. George. We wish them much success and happiness in this move, but we will certainly miss them and the contributions they have always made to the success of almost every-activit- y in the Valley. Mr. and Mrs. Rolland Lamb went to Las Vegas last week to visit with the Sherrill Lambs. The Perry Lambs went to Las Vegas Monday to meet their daughted Linda and granddaughter Becky, who are coming here for a visit from their home in California. The Gaylan Hoyts visited here Saturday from their home in Kanab. Marden Lamb was here last week visiting with friends and relatives. Meaton of Alton, announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Charlene, to Mr. DeLynn Barton, son of Mrs. Dorathr S. Barton, Orderville. The marriage will be solemnized in the St. George Temple September 4. That evening the couple will be honored at a wedding reception in the Alton Ward Cultural Hall. Southern Utah State College. While at SUSC she has been on the LDSSA council, president of Lambda Delta Sigma and was chosen their sweetheart for the past year. Roger, a Second Lieutenant in the U. S. Marines is in training there at Officers Candidate School. two-wee- , Also accompanying Afton and Bonnie was a Mr. Akashi, a policeman from Osaka, Japan, and a friend of Rogers. The two met while Roger was a guide in the U. S. Pavilion at the Worlds Fair in Japan. Stacey is a resident of Kanab and is married to Pauline, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Trevor Leach, also from Kanab. He is currently working at the Grand Canyon North Rim taking tourists on mule trips into the Canyon. The travelers drove to Pensacola and after some sightseeing and visiting Afton flew back to Tucson, Ariz. From there she returned home by way of Thatcher, Ariz., where she visited the Kent Hughs. B&H Stacey is going to go into the Aircrift Maintenance Field when he goes to the Army School of his choice. He will attend the Air- craft Maintenance School at Fort Rucker. Alabama and then upon graduation, he will be trained to work on one or more types of the numerous Army Aircraft. Stacey elected to enter the Armys Delayed Entry Program and will go into active service until August 12. Upon that date he will depart for basic training.
