Heaton is hospitalized at this writing. We hope she will soon be home. The infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hans Sorensen was given a name and a blessing by her father in Sacrament Meeting and given the name of Michelle. Claudia Sorensen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Burke Sorensen went to Salt Lake City to find employment. Mrs. LaMond Tait went to Salt Lake City to attend a Genealogical Convention. Many out of town people were in town Saturday evening for the wedding reception of Mr. and Mrs. Neil Anderson. It was a wonderful reception. The young couple received many beautiful and useful gifts. He was flown to a hospital in California. Glen Chamberlain, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arel M. Chamberlain, is home after being in Vietnam and the Navy. He flew to Salt Lake City and his brother Lynn brought him home, and visited a day. Michael Hughes is in Kanab visiting with his mother, Mrs. Anita Hughes and his grandmother, Mrs. Annie Adams. He is on furlough from his duties in the U. S. Marine Corps. Mrs. Marie Crosby is home after spending a few weeks in Salt Lake City with her daughter, Mrs. Marva Thomas, and family. While there they welcomed a new baby girl. The Lyle Brooksby family from Las Vegas, Nev., have been staying over at their place on the Brooksby Ranch and have visited in town some. The Ortho Christensen family from Eureka are staying at their home for a few days. They lived here a few years ago. Ortho is now Bishop of the Eureka Ward. The Glover family held a family reunion here last Saturday. There was a large crowd. None of the family live here at present. Robert Palmer and family from Henderson, Nev., have been visiting at the Ray Palmer home. Kanab news and current events Anthony Chatterley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Cloyd Chatterley is home on furlough from his service duties at Ft. Ord, Calif., where he received his basic training and advanced infantry training. Following his leave he will report at Ft. Lewis, Wash., Aug. 23, before going to Vietnam. Cloyd Chatterleys TERRY LEWIS Costume Technician at SUSC Shakespearean Festival Robbie Chatterley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Cloyd Chatterley, is receiving basic training in the armed forces at Ft. Lewis, Wash. winds up activities this weekend Mr. and Mrs. Fred E. Heaton and son Kirk left Thursday for Salt Lake City. They intend to stop in Provo to visit Mr. and Mrs. Clark Kay (Nadine). The Stake Presidency entertained the High Council and their wives and the widows of former High Councilmen at a cook out in the City Park Wednesday night. A large crowd attended and had a spendid time. Terry Lewis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wester Judd Lewis, Kanab, is a costume technician and also house manager with the Utah Shakespearean Festival at Southern Utah State College, Cedar City. A Midsummer Nights Dream, Othello, and Loves Labours Lost are the three plays that have been presented by the company in nightly rotation since July 17 and will continue through this weekend, August 9. Terry acted in Rip Van Winkle, Still the Mountain Wind, Royal Hunt of the Sun and Thurber Car-nival. He is a junior at Southern Utah State College. He is married to Arell B. Lewis. Each summer three Shake-- 1 spearean plays are performed on an authentic Elizabethan theatre on the SUSC campus. Specially chosen guest directors, actors, technicians and costume designers from throughout the nation are involved.
