The new boy is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Brinkerhoff and was given the name of James Richard. The infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Kurt Brinkerhoff was blessed here at sacrament services Sunday and given the name of Ryan Mark. Grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Vard Heaton of Alton, Mr. and Mrs. Mark J. Brinkerhoff, and many other relatives and friends from other areas were here for the meeting. Mr. Ronald Spencer was taken to the Panguitch hospital this week. We hope he is soon better and can return home. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Anderson and family returned from their vacation in Canada this week, visited the Charles Andersons and left son Steven for a short stay until school starts, then went on to their home in Tempe, Ariz. Many relatives and friends from here attended the wedding reception held at Ordrville Saturday evening, in honor of Neil and Sharlene Anderson. Miss Mary Ann Anderson went to Spanish Fork this week where she w'U visit for two weeks. Visiting here the past week were: Mr. and Mrs. Max Bauer from Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Glendon Spencer and five daughters from Salt Lake City; Mr. Jon Bauer from California; Mrs. Gertrude Cardova and several friends from Nevada; Mrs. LaVerl Roberts and three children from Logan; Mr. Lawrence Workman, home from the service for a short furlough prior to serving further in the Korean area; Mr. and Mrs. - wnw 4 F it wo w vs 'i s v - tJt ; C.w- i .. ivyj iV. Vi,; K. ' Mrs. Nellie Asay and daughter, Debbie, from Provo drove to Kanab Monday for a few days visit with Mrs. Asays father, Carlos Judd, and with other relatives and friends. Mrs. Lane Campbell and children from Salt Lake City spent several days boating and enjoying the scenery on Lake Powell, also visiting relatives in Page, Alton, Panguitch, Kanab, and Fredonia. ..." Rate were going . . . wont be small long. Our temporary boss Sad news Leon is leaving us this week so wed like to take this opportunity to thank him for coming out and putting up with us. We all really think hes great. Good news Our really boss Bud will be back with us in a day or so. Weve sure missed him but bet it was good to get away from us awhile. Wednesday was our big party. This time for Edna Green, our fioor lady, and Leons going back to Big Barco. Had it outside at noon with sloppy Joes and salads. Was very special with Ednas daughter, Linda, as our guest. Also a real treat was Ann Jensens daughter, Helen, entertaining us. Could we please also say thanks to Edna. We appreciate her so awfully much. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Barnes spent last weekend in Las Vegas visiting friends and painting the Report from Kane County Hosp. Bom August 4th to Mr. and Mrs. Landell Heaton was a 6 lb. 10 oz. baby boy. Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Johnson recently flew to Cape Kennedy, Fla., where they visited for a few days with their daughter and Merrilyn and Mark Church and son. Merrilyn was already there spending some time with her husband who is in the service. While there they watched the blast off to the moon and were invited on Marks ship for breakfast and a tour. On their return they brought Merrilyn and son with them and traveled in the states of Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisianna, Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona. son-in-la- set to help deaf and blind persons communicate is being tested and developed by Bell System research and manufacturing organizations.
