The purpose of this is to hold concerts in the park for the enjoyment of local citizens and tourists. Such groups as the Tri-CitOrchestra, the Choralettes, etc., are the type of entertainment we had in mind. These concerts could be held after church meetings on Sunday evenings. In line with our fourth of July celebration, a pie eating contest featuring 10 to 12 year-olboys and girls will be featured with a valuable prize awarded to the winners. A baseball game between Little League members and their dads is planned; also swimming races at the municipal pool in the morning and childrens races in the afternoon, and a horse shoe pitching contest for men will bo on the July 4th agenda. Kanab Stake Seventies Present Annual Barbecue, Talent Show Kanab Stake Seventies Quorum is sponsoring their annual Barbecue and Talent Show in Kanab this weekend, Saturday, June 11. The quorum has endeavored for many years to bring this area both food and entertainment of the highest quality. This years festivities will be no exception to this rule. They will barbecue prime beef and serve a delicious dinner starting at 6 p.m. This feast will be followed by a talent show, which will present outstanding members chosen from Kanab Stake. There is no more nor better talent than we have right here in our stake, they say. According to planners of the feast either event would be worth the total admission of $10.00 per family or $2.50 per person. Proceeds from the evenings festivities will be used to sustain missionaries of The Church of Saints. Advanced work towards the degree included a thesis entitled "Source of Support as a Factor in Vocational Rehabilitation, Montana, 1965. Mr. Esplin, a 1956 graduate of Valley High School, Orderville, received his B.S. degree from Utah State University in 1962. He is married to the former Lana Gale Holt, Enterprise.
