Palmer was here Wendell over the weekend from his work at Mesquite, Nevada. Owen Roundy is home from Las Vegas where he has taught school the past year. He expects to continue hts studies this summer at CSU in Cedar City. The Vane Campbell family visited relatives in Mesquite, the past weekend. Enlrzncs Fees Will On K tilth Fercst Arc:s Entrance fees will be charged on the Kaibab National Forest beginning June 1, 1965 for the following seven campgrounds: Kaibab Lake, Cataract Lake, White Horse Lake, Parks, Jacob Lake, DeMotte, end Indianr Hollow. The annuel $7 Recreation Conservation Sticker may be purchased now at the Williams-ChelendDistrict Ranger's Office on North Second Street, Tusayan District Ranger's Office, Jacob Lake-BiSprings District In Office Fredonia, end Ranger's Forest Supervisor's Office. The individual season and daily tickets will be available before June 1. Additional information may be obtained et these offices. In addition to the above named offices, the RecreationCon-servatio- n Sticker and both types of individual tickets may be pur. chased from Forest Service Recreation Assisants at the seven ' named campgrounds during the recreation season. These men are the foremen of our reguer recreation maintenance crews. No extra men are being hired to sell or check on the Recreation Conservation sticker or tickets. The "Designated Federal Recreation Fee Area" poster will be displayed on bulletin boards or in other appropriated places in recreation areas where an entrance fee Is charged. Fee charge areas include National Forests, National Parks and other Federal Recreation Areas. Other areas of the Kaibab National Forest are not subject to the entrance fee. They may be entered upon subject to the laws and regulations regarding fire, littering, hunting, fishing, end other uses. That vehicle and all occupants may enter Federal recration areas for which an entrance charge is made. The n Sticker (cost $7.00) is valid until March 31, 1966. The Sticker will not be replaced if lost, stolen, or destroyed. lhe Act also povides for an individual charge for a single, or daily visit in lieu of the Sticker for those not wishing to purchase the RccreationConserva-tio- n Sticker. The single visit is 50c per day for each person 16 years and older. For those persons who visit only one particular National Forst in a year, a season's ticket may be purchased. The cost of the season's ticket is $2.50 per person 16 years and older and will expire December 31, 1965. 1 his ticket is good only in recreation areas located within the National Forest for which the ticket is purchased and will not authorize entrance to recreation areas on other National Forests or other Federal recreation areas. The financial bargain of the annual permit, the Recreation Conservation Sticker, which is good for Nationwide use and covering all automobile occupants, is apparent. The Act also provides that special facilities or services may require an additional use charge; however, no additional user fees are required at the present time for the areas listed above on the Kaibab. Violation of rules or regulations govering the collection of fees at posted Federal recreation. areas designated pursuant to the Land and Water Conservation Fund Act is punishable by e fine up to one hundred ($100) dollar.
