Steve Tait, son of Mr. and Mrs. LaVier Tait was valedictorian. Wilda Adair, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Webster Adair came home for the summer and is working in Kanab at Trails End Restaurant. She taught the past winter in Wyoming. Mr. Reo. Also at the Youngs were Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Young and children of Salt Lake and Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Yeung and daughter. Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. John Sanck's are the proud parents of a daughter born in Cedar City Wednesday. They have one other daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Dee Anderson and daughter went to Cufomia to visit their daughter Rosalie . and family. Visitors at , the Clyde Tit home were Mr. and Mrs. Terry Tait of Salt Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Lane Tait and children of Ce- dar City. The Kanab Chamber of Commerce, Orderville Community Development Committee and the Utah Tourist and Publicity Council all joind together to hold a successful Tourist Service Clinic Tuesday May 1. The clinic was held in Orderville and Kanab with a fair turnout of people interested in learning more on how to accommodate and interest the tourists visiting our area. The clinic consisted of the following: Introduction by Carl Hatch; Hospitality hints by Evon Olsen; Tourist questions by John Hunt of Utah State University; What to Do and See In Mth hy Ward Roylance: Local Tourist Attractions by W. C., for the construction permit to install a television translator station atop Red Knoll, which Is approxiof mately 10 miles north-weKanab, Kane County, Utah, to transmit on channel 12. This translator will serve the ranch homes in the area to the north of Kanab, and will also be used as a relay to a Kanab translator station. Mrs. Laura Campbell went to the old Widtsoe cemetery Monday with her son, Donald. The Hughes Brothers Dairy at Mesquite, Nevada have been been bringing their dairy heifers up here the past few days for Ray Palmer to pasture for the summer. Several people from here went to the circus at Cedar City Monday. Art Sawyer from Hatch has been workin ghere the past rew days driving cat for Roundy druthers. Frank Badwin and Blaine Cox have gone on the desert with Gam Swapp to trail his catrle to his summer range. Orval Pamer worked the List week for A. Mrs. Tone Blackburn and family spent some time In Salt Lake City visiting. They returned home Monday. Mr. and Mrs. John DeMi'le, Mrs. Horace Burrows, Mrs. CharMrs. les Brinkerhoff, Perry Lamb attended graduation exercises in Hurricane Friday night Mrs. John M. Crofts and dau-ghtand Mrs. Huges of Pan- guitch visited here Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. Sharon Lamb went to California to visit her brother and have some dental work done. Mr, and Mrs. Aaron Reese and family of Mapleton, Utah visited here over the weekend. Mrs. Perry Troy went to Henderson to visit the Kez Meeks for a week. Mr. and Mrs. Deral Sawyer and chidren and Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Barton visited in Tropic recently. The past week has been a rather busy one, with graduation and the long Memorial Day weekend.
