From all reports they have a good baseball team. Visiting with the B. P. Fishers have been Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Jones and son they were to Orem, Utah where they will make their home. Their were approximately 38 persons in attendance a very enjoyable evening was spent playing and hiking on the dunes and eating. Verla Esplin daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Crofts visited in New Castle, Utah over the weekend with the Charles Hart Jr., family, Mrs. Hart is the former Shirley Esplin. Rebecca Esplin daughter of Mr. and Mrs. I. Mack Esplin entertained her friends on her birthday by serving them refreshments then taking them to the show. Nan, Carson and Patti Tait of ' Fredonia, Arizona stayed with the LaNard Johnsons Thursday and Friday while their parents were in Salt Lake for medical attention for Mr. Tait The J. E. Crofts family held a family Reunion Saturday afternoon at Duck Creek. Many of the Ward members attended Quarterly conference held In Kanab Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Joel White and daughter visited here a short while Friday afternoon with the Perry Lambs enroute to Richfield to pick up the Indian student who will live with them this winter and go to school. The John DeMille family has an Indian boy living with them for the school year. Some of the ladies from here went to Hurricane the past week to judge the Washington County Fair. The Bee Hive Honor night was held Monday night in the Reception Hall at 7 Oclock with some of the parents attending. It would be nice if all parents could attend these occasions. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Lunt of Las Vegas spent the weekend fishing and visiting in Kanab. Thursday, September 3, 1964 lias GSU Posilbn s Stan Sorensen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elbem Sorensen, has been named as a dormitory assistant at Coi!ege of Southern Utah. He will aid in the supervision of the new Juniper Hall mens residence school year. during the 1964-6Mr.. Sorensen will also serve as editor of the Thunderbird student neswspaper at CSU for the coming year. He is a sophomore Political Science major. He plans to enter law school after completing his undergraduate work. He completed a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of y Saints in the Northern States. He has been active in drama at CSU, appearing in the 1963-6- 4 productions of "My Sister Eileen and "Auntie Marne.
