She was chosen by faculty members on the basis of Dependability, Truthfulness, Loyalty, Punctuality, .Service Cooperation, Courtesy, Consideration of Others, Leadership, and Personality, Ability to Assume Responsibility. She is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lorenzo J. Brown, Moccasin, Arizona. She has taken a written examination to be. considered for State winner in the annual contest sponsored by the Daughters of the American Revolution, DAR, State winners then enter the national competition, Mackelprang said. Miss Brown is president of Girls Club at the High School this year, and is also a four year member of the Music Club, participating in both Band and Chorus. She has been a cheerleader three years, being head Varsity Cheerleader this year. Her Sophomore year had her working as Yearbook Editor. She has been a class officer three years and a Student Council representative two years. She was a member of Marching Squad three years. Miss Brown was voted Outstanding Junior Girl last year, and received the Journalism Self-Contr- ol, A-wa- rd her Shopomore-year- She . recently sang in the Girls Trio at Northern Arizona Music Festival at Flagstaff, when the Trio received an Excellent rating.
