CONTRACT AN INDEBTEDNESS ON BEHALF OF KANE COUNTY, UTAH, AND UPON THE CREDIT THEREOF, BY ISSUING THE NEGOTIABLE, COUPON GENERAL OBLIGATION HOSPITAL BONDS OF KANE COUNTY IN THE AGGREGATE PRINCIPAL OF $143,000.00; PRESCRIBING THE FORM OF SAID BONDS: PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY OF A TAX TO PAY THE PRINCIPAL OF AND INTEREST THEREON; AND PRESCRIBING DETAILS IN CONNECTION THEREWITH. WHEREAS, at a special election duly called and held in Kane County on the 18th day of September, 1S59, there was submitted . to the electors of the County qualified to vbte thereon,-- who had paid a property tax in Kane County in the year next preceding such election, g question,' to-wi- t: Shall Kane County, Utah, in- -, cur debt and issue bonds to the amount of $156,000.00 to run for a period of not more than 20 years from the date . therof and to bear interest at a rate or rates not in excess of six per cent per annum for the purpose of defraying in part the cost of . erecting and furnishing a new County Hospital and purchas- v ing a site therefor? (6) , and WHEREAS, more than a majority of such qualified electors voting on said question voted in favor of the creation of such debt and the issuance of such bonds; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has determined, and does hereby determine, that it is necessary and for the best interests of Kane County and the inhabitants thereof that said bonds in the amount of $143,000.00 be issued at this time, the County reserving the privilege of issuing the remaining bonds authorized at said election as and if additional funds are needed. THE BOARD OF COUNTY ' COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF KANE ORDAINES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That all action heretofore taken (not inconsistent with the provisions of- this ord - - Commissioners and the officers of Kane County directed- - towarcUs-- . recting and furnishing a new county hospital and purchasing a site therefor, and the issuance of its bonds to defray a part of the cost thereof be, and the same hereby is, ratified, approved and confirmed, including, without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the sale of said bonds to J. A. Hogle & Company and Thornton D. Morris & Company at par and accrued interest to the date of delivery, together with a premium of $100.00. Section 2. That for the purpose of providing funds to defray in part the cost of erecting and furnishing a new county hospital and purchasing a site. therefor, the Board of County Commissioners of Kane County, on behalf of said County and upon the credit thereof, shall issue its negotiable, coupon General Obligation Hospital Bonds, Series February 1, 1960, in the aggregate principal amount pf $143,000.00, being a part of the authorized issue of $156,000.00, consisting of 143 bonds in the denomination of $1,000.00 each, numbered from 1 to 143, both inclusive, dated as of the first day of February, 1960, bearing interest at the rate or rates hereinafter specified, payon the first able days of February and .August in each year, commencing on the first semi-annuall- Page.
