Sell y State, County, City Officials Meet In A Here May 9th, 10th For Conference Kanab To Hear Roads Developments officials of the Church of jesus Christ Saints (Mormon) will address the quarterly conference of the Kanab Stake on Saturday and Sunday, May 9 and ,10, in Kanab, Utah. The isitors are President Joseph Fielding Smith, president of the Council of Twelve Apostles and Elder Glen Rudd, di- director of the pioneer Regional Storehouse. General sessions are open to the public at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel announced Stake President Daniel S. Frost, Kanab, Utah. President Smith is known as the Churchs foremost historian, author and authority on doctrine. He has been a member of the Council of Twelve Apostles since 1910. He is a son of Joseph F. Previously scheduled for May 1st and 2nd the camporee was postponed for one week because of conflicting schedules in the stake. The purpose of the annual Camporee is to encourage organisation of troops' into patrols, to put life into the patrol itself. To encourage scouts to make their own camping equipment. To stimulate scouts to do more camping, and to educate the public to the skill of camping. This is achieved by several troops camping at the same site for one Day and Night or more.
