Carmel news The Daughters of the Utah Pioneers organization presented the program at Sacrament Mee eting Sunday with Captain Mackelprang in charge: Madge T. Bauer gave the history of the earlysettlers of Glendale. June Brinkerhoff accompanied by Elizabeth Esplin sang, Our Pioneers. Josephine Jepson spoke on markers that have been erected by the DUP. Ivey Maxwell gave a talk, with closing prayer by Marcellus Johnson. Mr. and Mrs. Valjean Robertson (Phyllis) and infant daughter of Las Vegas visited the past week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Mangus Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. Linford Harris and sons of Henderson visited here the past week. The days celebration and entertainment in honor of July 24 was a huge success. Commencing with a parade and floats with best prizes given for the best three floats. Floyd Johnson was in charge of the program at 11 a.m., as follows: Song by the congregation.
