As a result of the project Fredonia subscribers will be able to enjoy the benefits of private line or two party line service, Matheson said. An interesting feature of the 0 construction project Is the machine which is being used to lay the underground cable between Kanab and Fredonia. In one operation this tractor driven device is able to dig a trench four feet deep, lay the cable in the trench, and cover the trench behind it. The telephone company plans to complete construction during the first part of April, Matheson said. At that time Fredonia residents will be provided with the improved types of service they have ordered.
