Carmel District No. 6 Orderville District No. 7 Glendale District No. 8 Alton SECTION 12: The Company shall be entitled to require any consumer of gas, before gas service is connected, a deposit of one and one half times the amount of an estimated average monthly bill but in no event to be less than twenty dollars ($20.00), which said deposit may be retained by the Company until service is discontinued and all bills therefore have been paid. SECTION 15: This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval and publication as provided by law, and shall continue in force for a period of twenty five (25) years from the date of passage thereof, and said Utran, Inc., its legal representatives, successors or assigns, shall, within ten (10) days from the date of passage and approval of this ordinance, deposit with the Clerk of the City of Kanab a sum of money sufficient to cover the cost of the publication of this ordinance. SECTION 16: Notwithstanding any provision herein contained to the contrary, whetheft it be express or whether it may be implied, the franchises, privileges, licenses, and authority and all rights and powers granted by this ordinance are to be and shall remain nonexclusive and Kanab City shall have and does hereby expressly reserve the right to grant any additional franchises, privileges, and authority whether the same be identical, similar in whole or In part, or in their nature a grant of some or all of the same powers, privileges, franchises and authorities as are herein contained including the right to perform the same service itself.
