Bill Lathim scored 28 points before he was out on personal fouls, while Terrell- Brooksby and George McCormick each bucketed 21 points. Neil Brooksby followed with 13 to also score in the double figures. Ira Deatherldge of the Yellowjackets also had 28 to lead, his team, with Clayton Stidham following with 16. Coach Ferrell Fish bemoaned the comparative poor showing of his highly touted team against the Lynx. On Saturday night, the Lynx proved themselves consistent ball players when they beat the Green Devils 82-6- 7 in some of the fanciest long shots and ball handling seen on the local court. McCormick led with 26 points, while Lathim had 21. T. Brooksby had 14 before he was e'ected on fouls. Gary Tom scored 10 when he filled In for T. Brook-sty- H. Stingley an L. Thomas had 16 each and B. Ward had 15 for the Green Devils. The Lynx play a return match with Page on January 29, Wednesday, a game, and then go on the road to Sanders and Ganado, January 31, and February 1. The last home game of the season is with Monument Valley on Febuqry 7.. Something new has been added this year to the Marching unit of Fredonia High School. Each girl must audition for her place in the unit, and give up part of her lunch hour to practice for the show at home games. He served in Kentucky, Tennessee and West Virginia. He gave very Interesting talks in the North and South Wards Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Mont Burton, the former Veon Young, were here from St. George to visit the Clyde Youngs and to take In the bail game last weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Val Jackson and family who are living in Tempe, Arizona, were in town last weekend to visit and show off their new arrival. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Lewis and family from Colorado were here over the weekend visiting with his folks, the Bernell Lewis family, and with their many young friends here. Mr, and Mrs. Pres Bunting are going to Odgen to pick up their daughter Arlene Lamphere and children while her husband Tom is going to school for a few weeks. The Lampheres are living in Montana. Dr. and Mrs. Joseph Sanneila went to Cedar City Saturday to attend a medical association meeting. Dr. Sanneila is president of the Southern Utah Medical Association. , children and grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs.' Harold Payne and children spent a weekend recently visiting Mrs. Paynes parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emery Tait, at Spring City, Utah. Her father is reported Improving after emergency surgery following a weeks illness. The cabin occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Kee Y. Tsoe in the Indian village in the north east section of Fredonia was totally by fire this week. Kaibafr Lumber Company, the owners-othe property, and employers of Y. Tsoe, through their spokesman, Mack Frost, said that another cabin will be provided the young couple, and that friends were assisting them in setting up housekeeping again. No one was injured in the fire, which started when the occupants were away. No other cabins nearby were da maged due to- - prompt action by Fredonia Volunteer Fire Department. Home for the weekend recenJ tly were Bruce Solper, Jamie Lynn Finley and Suzanne Judd, all from Arizona State College in Flagstaff. They were visiting their parents In Fredonia during the between semester break.
