Morgan Sorensen is in the furniture retailing business today. to-day. In fact it might he considered con-sidered a matter of course. Equally Equ-ally as understandable is Mr. Sorensens recent election to head the Retail Trades Committee for' the Sugar House Chamber of Commerce. A native of Ephraim, Utah, Morgan came to salt Lake City at the age of 10 and completed his elementary and high school education, graduating from Latter-day Saints High School in 1928. He continued his education at the University of Utah graduating gradu-ating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business in 1932. Tnrfran hna hepn with thA Morgan has been with the family-owned South East Furniture Fur-niture since it opening thirty-one years ago. Now vice president and in charge of General Merchandising Mer-chandising for the firm, he pursues his duties with the vigor of a lion. Although he follows a very busy business schedule, he has always found time to do service to his fellowmen through his activities in various civic and business organizations. Currently Current-ly president of the Utah Council of Retaiers, he has also served on the board of directors for several civic clubs including the Kiwaniis. The new Chamber committee head is married, lives with his wife, Nabbie Clawson Sorensen, and three children at 5600 Hol-laday Hol-laday Boulevard. He is a member mem-ber of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. |
