Vincent, First Security Bank assistant vice president, has been named manager of the bank's Sugar House office, it was an-nounced Wednesday by Harold J. Steele. Mr. Steele is First Security senior vice president in charge of the Salt Lake division. William L. Houghton has been named manager of the Timeway consumer credit department at First Security's Sugar House office. B. W. VINCENT Mr. Vincent, a native of Salt Lake City, attended elementary, junior and high schools, and LDS Business College in Salt Lake City. He entered banking as a messenger in 1929, and later that year became a First Security Bank bookkeeper. He advanced successively to positions of general bookkeeper, auditor, and assistant cashier, and in 1949 was named assistant vice president. He has completed several courses with the American Institute of Banking, and this year continued his studies at the University of Washington's summer banking school. Mr. Vincent is a member of the Sugar House Chamber of Commerce, and Kiwanis Club, Robert Morris Associates, and Salt Lake City Bank Officers' Club. He is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Da- y Saints. Mr. and Mrs. Vincent, the former Winifred Free, reside with their son and two daughters at 2344 Stringham Avenue. WILLIAM L. HOUGHTON A tjative of Nephi, Mr. Houghton also began his banking career as a messenger. He previously attended Bingham High School and next year will receive an Associate of Commercial Science degree in management for his evening studies at Stevens Henager College. He has also completed a course with the American Institute of Banking. Mr. Houghton served with the U. S. Army. At First Security he has advanced through various positions at the Main at First South Street, Main at Fourth South Street, and Sugar House offices.
