I . . ... ... v. .v. ... .v.v.x:-.v:-- , .rt ' ri TX - ) lLki rn MEAT PINWHEELS V2 cup Kellogg's All-Br- an cup shortening Vz- - cup milk Vz cups sifted flour 1 pound ground beef 3 teaspoons baking 1 tablespoon grated onion powder V cup chili sauce 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon salt Combine All-Br- an and i.iilk; let stand until well mixed. Sift together dry ingredients. Cut in shortening until mix-ture resembles coarse corn meal. Add All-Br- an mixture; stir only until combined. Knead gently a few times on lightly floured board. Roll into a rectangle 16 x 9 inches. Blend thoroughly beef, onions, chili sauce and salt. Roll out on waxed paper to the size of the biscuit dough. Place on dough. Roll like a jelly roll; seal edges. Cut in 1-i- nch slices. Place about 1 inch apart in greased shallow pan. Bake in hot oven (425F.) about 30 minutes. Serve with Tomato or Brown Sauce. Yield: 8 servings, 2 slices each. S. Iris Society Utah Iris Society will hold its first meeting of the year on Friday, January 29th, at 7:30 p.m. at the Mountain Fuel Building. 180 East First South. The feature of the evening will be a slide showing of outstanding iris of 1959. Mem-bers and guests may bring as many as ten slides taken locally. Six meetings are held yearly. Anyone interested is welcome to attend, according to Mrs. Mildred Johnson, secretary. Officers of the Utah Iris So-ciety for the year are: Thomas N. Reese, president; Jesse W. Fox, vice president; Allan C. Vaughan, also vice president; Mrs. David E. HU 5-3-801 1 Delta Gamma Alums Meet Delta Gamma alums are invited to a "Tasting Bee" luncheon at the Delta Gamma house on Feb-ruary 6th at 12:30 p.m. Recipes for the delicious smorgasbord will be available. Dr. Robert Kadesch of the University of Utah department of Physics, will address the group on "A Look into Space" a talk on breathing and gestures and Bereneice McClain talked on table topics and giving impromptu speeches. Norma Wherli was the evaluator. Three guests were pre-sent, Dorothy Howe, June Oviatt,, and La Verne Holman. Toastmistresses Hold Speech Contest Toastmistresses Club of Holla-da- y met on Tuesday. January 19, at 1:00 p.m. for luncheon. At this meeting plans were formed for a Speech Contest to start . on the second of February. There will be four contestants the first week and three on each of the next two programs. The club winner will be chosen on March 15th and will be a contestant at the Council speech meet in Idaho Falls on April 9th. Speech contest chair-man is Louise Page. Guests and prospective members are welcome and may make reservations by calling Louise Page, CR 7-5- 443 or Delia Judy, AM 60.
