Under the law, units desiring to be licensed . for the 1969 pheasant season must submit a petition from landowners along with the usual application form to the Board of Fish and Game no later than August 15, 1969. Two types of hunting permits Landowners will be Issued. permits will be Issued free for use by landowners In each and public permits unit, will be sold for a maximum of $3. Fifty percent or more of public permits must be placed on public sale at a specified time and place. of At least 75 percent lands within each unit's boundary must be open to hunting. Many of these students just received their high school diplomas, and are working for money to help them enter colleges or universities this fall. Some have college experience and are working for financial assistance and practical experience. Of the 293 students, 210 are employed by the Utah Copper Division on jobs in the mine, concentrators, smelter, refinery and Salt Lake City office in the following departments: Comptrollers, engineering, industrial engineering, industrial relations, public relations and quality . control. Eighteen more have advanced training and are working for Kennecott Exploration Services, Scientific and rv'r;' erjng r,''mpv,'r Center, Agricultural and Meteorological Research and the Western Data Center. Kennecotts summer employment program has been a route forward for more than 40 years. The program now is being expanded to incorporate underprivileged employables and other members of the disadvantaged sector.
