Yet, the moon shots and other scientific developments continue to persuade us that nothing Is Impossible of accomplishment when the laws of the universe are placed com-prehent- lon In proper perspective. In support of National Painting and Decorating Week June 14 to 21st Mayor O. Paul Davis sighs Declaration and urges all citizens to comemerate the week and keep our city beautiful. The paint dealers are furnishing the material and the painting contractors are furnishing the labor to repaint and decorate the Elks Boys Club at 1340 South Main Street during the week. During the. year 1968 the P.D.C.A. of America donated $276,648.00 in labor to charity projects such as the Elks Boys Club. Congratulations to them for these worthy projects. Our continued successes In scientific fields havent helped, too much, In bringing peace of mind, contentment and personal security to most Americans. We should be the happiest people on earth, and thankful to be alive and living In this great land. Our appreciation of this great country should give us the Incentive to thank God dally for the bounties of life and help us to keep Inviolate, the fundamental laws upon which peace, happiness and security have been established. By precept and example youth can be taught how best to conduct his way of living that .will bring Joyous rewards through unselfish service and obedience to the laws of health and the law of the land.
